A bilingual Chinese American with more than a decade of direct China experience, Benjamin Wey has advised over 90 public and private institutions worldwide including several Chinese and European banks related to capital markets and strategic development. Benjamin Wey’s comments on China related issues and capital market events are regularly quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Reuters, International Herald Tribune, China Daily, Institutional Investor and others.

Benjamin Wey first arrived in the United States as a teenager on a full academic scholarship. He then went on to successfully obtain his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Oklahoma Baptist University and later his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Central Oklahoma.

Benjamin Wey possesses extensive international business experience, broad contacts and in-depth cultural familiarity as an expert on China. He has appeared in numerous feature stories on magazine covers including China Capital Markets, China Economic Weekly and China Equity Markets, among others.

Leveraging these strengths, today Benjamin Wey serves as the President of New York Global Group (NYGG), a New York and Beijing headquartered investment banking, venture investments and strategic consulting firm that specialize in advising China related projects. New York Global Group was named the “Best foreign investment banking firm serving China’s middle markets” by the China Securities Daily in August 2006, having created over US$2 billion in market values for China based mid cap companies through global capital markets.
